Curiosity may kill the cat, but you should get off entirely unscathed if you visit this great site to satisfy your thirst for knowledge. There’s a lot of feline information here for you to sink your canines into: everything from cat evolution to cat conservation, and just about everything in-between.

The site as a whole is satisfyingly comprehensive, with in-depth coverage of all 36 species in the wild cat family. There’s plenty on the familiar names, of course - but just how much do you know about the kodkod, the little spotted cat or the jaguarundi? Here you can find out about these little-known (and, in many cases, extremely rare) cats, and see photos of them. It would have been nice to see more pictures, but there’s a good excuse in some cases: the Bornean bay cat, for example, is so rare and elusive that few photos have ever been taken.

In the conservation section you’ll be able to learn about all that’s being done around the world to prevent the decline of the world’s felids - and to try to stop the most endangered cats from disappearing altogether. There’s a particularly good link you might want to follow - to The Cathouse, which has a vast collection of high quality photographs and sound files to keep you visually and aurally satisfied. You’ll also find a good collection of links to other feline online resources in the links section. All in all, well worth a prowl.
